Our founder and vision

My name is Stephen Follis, and I’m the founder of Revelations Loss Solutions.

Construction has been a part of my life from the very beginning. My father and brother started Follis Construction back in 1979 — a design-and-build general contracting company. In 1989, I launched my own company, Cheyenne Construction Services, named after my middle daughter. That business was built on family values, craftsmanship, and a strong desire to serve others with honesty and integrity.

In 2001, I stepped into the insurance restoration industry. For years, I was able to help homeowners and business owners work with their insurance companies to reach fair settlements when disaster struck. But over time, the landscape changed — communication became harder, negotiations became more restricted, and it reached a point where, as a contractor, I couldn’t even get decision-makers on the phone.

After Hurricane Ike, I began doing appraisals for an attorney out of Houston while continuing to run my construction business. That’s when I discovered a new path to helping people — as a professional appraiser. About eight years ago, I joined LP Loss Consulting, working alongside Steve Patrick and Tony Rougas. Together, we handled appraisals across the country, and I gained a wealth of insight and experience in the process.

Let me be clear:
I am not a public adjuster or an attorney.
I do not determine coverage, dates of loss, or interpret policy language.
My role as an appraiser is to provide an independent, professional opinion on what it should reasonably cost to repair the damage to a property — no more, and no less.

At Revelations Loss Solutions, our goal is simple:
To help homeowners and business owners resolve disputes with their insurance carriers regarding the scope or value of damages caused by fire, water, wind, or hail.
